My stay at Hotel President was riddled with issues that overshadowed its potential charm. While the hotel's location was convenient for exploring Budapest, the dated decor and lack of basic amenities really let it down. The enthusiastic staff did what they could to assist, but the overall experience was far from satisfactory, especially considering the price.

Rooms

The room size was cramped and didn't meet my expectations based on the images online. The decor felt outdated and there were cleanliness issues I couldn't overlook.
Service
5.0
Though some staff were friendly, my experience was marred by a lack of responsiveness to issues like maintenance and cleanliness – I felt neglected during my stay.
Location
8.0
The hotel boasts a great location, near attractions, but the surrounding environment did little to compensate for my disappointments with the hotel itself.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was quite decent and offered a variety, but the setting was in the basement, which felt uninspired and lacked atmosphere.
Facilities

The hotel promised amenities, but many were either under maintenance or poorly maintained, which was frustrating during my visit.

I had a faultless stay at Hotel President. the staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. The buffet breakfast offered a vast variety of both hot and cold options, which I truly enjoyed. However, I did hear some concerns about air conditioning issues in certain rooms, which I thankfully didn't experience. Overall, the central location made exploring Budapest quite convenient.

The staff went out of their way to assist me, and I felt truly valued during my stay. Some feedback suggested there were inconsistencies in service at the reception that could be improved.

The hotel’s location is fantastic, just a short walk from major attractions like St. Stephen's Basilica and the Parliament. This made my daily excursions effortless.

I appreciated the wellness facilities, though I noted some operational issues that could enhance the overall guest experience. The rooftop views were a highlight, making a perfect spot for evening relaxation.

I had high hopes for my stay, especially due to the hotel's prime location. but I was ultimately disappointed. The rooftop views were stunning, but the room felt cramped and dated, with inadequate amenities. While the breakfast buffet had its moments, overall, it didn’t meet the expectations set by the hotel's four-star rating.

Rooms
5.0
My room was quite small, lacking natural light and featuring a noisy air conditioner. I had to fight for a room change, and the upgraded room still felt cramped and outdated.
Service
5.0
Though the initial reception staff was combative, I did find some staff members genuinely helpful when directly approached. However, the overall service experience felt inconsistent, especially during maintenance issues.
Location

The hotel’s location is excellent, within walking distance of key attractions like the Parliament and Basilica, making it easy to explore Budapest.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was decent with a variety of choices, but I expected more from a four-star hotel. Dining in the basement felt uninspired and lacked atmosphere.
Facilities

The wellness facilities were closed for my stay, which was disappointing, especially since the pool was prominently featured in the hotel’s promotional material. Other amenities seemed underdeveloped.

My stay at Hotel President was a mix of positives and disappointments. The location was unbeatable, allowing me to explore key attractions with ease. However, the wellness facilities left much to be desired, as the pool was empty and only one sauna was operational. I appreciated the friendly staff and the generous breakfast, but the cleanliness and comfort of my room could have been better. Overall, while I enjoyed my time in Budapest, I might consider a different option for my next visit. 🏨🌆

The room was a bit cramped but generally comfortable. Unfortunately, I found stains on the blanket and the bathroom could have used better ventilation. Overall, it wasn't as clean as I expected from a 4-star hotel.
Service

The staff were friendly and eager to help, but there were some gaps in communication regarding wellness facilities. I had to navigate some issues to get the help I needed.

The wellness area needs improvement. The pool was out of order, and the whirlpool wasn't functioning properly either. I enjoyed the rooftop terrace but wished the other facilities matched its charm.

My stay at Hotel President had its ups and downs. The location was excellent, making it super easy to explore Budapest, and the breakfast spread was generous and tasty. However, I faced some major hiccups with the room's air conditioning and the overall service, which was often frustrating. Overall, it was a mixed experience.

Rooms
5.0
The room I first got was super tiny, like an oven with no good air conditioning and no door on the shower. I had to ask to be moved twice before finding one with proper AC, but I still had to wait a while without a room in between.
Service
5.0
The staff was hit or miss; while some were kind, many seemed rushed and not very helpful, making it a challenge to get simple requests fulfilled. It felt like I was running in circles trying to get things sorted.
Location
10.0
This hotel is right in the heart of Budapest, super close to top attractions like the St. Stephen's Basilica and the River Danube. It couldn't be more convenient for getting around the city.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was really great with lots of options, but the dining area was a bit stuffy and felt cramped at times, almost like being in a basement. I wish it had a better vibe.
Facilities
5.0
The spa was nice enough, but I found it a bit of a hassle going back and forth for services like locker keys and bathrobes, as nothing seemed to be easily accessible.
